Patient navigation is not yet a standard European practice, particularly when compared to Canada and the United States. The EU NAVIGATE project represents a novel and one-of-a-kind opportunity to promote patient navigation
on a broader and more political scale, and particularly to foster the integration of the patient navigation approach throughout the entire cancer pathway, from cancer prevention to supportive, palliative and end-of-life
care.
Participating experts and stakeholders will have the chance to discuss ongoing project activities and also to work together on a common policy agenda for patient navigation in cancer, in the light of the 2024 European
parliamentary elections and renewal of the College of European Commissioners.
A high-level report will be issued following the Forum, to capture the main points of the discussions and to facilitate drawing conclusions and further connections.
