Connecting with Irish Medical Social Workers

Our partner in Ireland, Trinity College Dublin, recently met with medical social workers who provide psychosocial help to oncology and haematology patients and their families. The social workers were presented with EU Navigate’s aims, its patient eligibility criteria and what patients should expect if they participate in the project.

It was clear that the social workers were very interested in the initiative, which they felt could benefit their patients. They were happy to refer patients who might be struggling and have a greater need for the service.

Great news! Since the meeting, Trinity College Dublin has received two potential patient referrals.
